Item Description

Sharp, highly lustrous, metallic-gray, arsenopyrite crystals to 1.5 cm cover the sculptural, mounded matrix on this showy and excellent specimen from the historic mines at Trepca. Specimens of this richness and quality are very uncommon. A bit of periphery wear is hardly noticeable. Hefty sulfide ore at 354 grams. Ex Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and purchased in Zurich in 1974 for 100 Swiss francs.
