Item Description

Panasqueira is one of Europe's classic 'modern' localities. It has produced some of the most iconic Fluorapatites in the world, along with gorgeous sulfides like Arsenopyrite. This miniature is a dense cluster of prismatic Arsenopyrite crystals up to 1 cm in length. These Arsenopyrites are sharp, have a very good metallic luster, and the color is the quintessential brassy gold. There is even some iridescence to add to the aesthetics. This is a fine, highly representative miniature for this well-known locality. ex George Elling Collection
