Arsenopyrite

Item Description

An attractive specimen of Arsenopyrite from one of the best localities in the world for the species. This miniature sized piece features a rich group of beautifully well-crystallized metallic grey prisms, with no matrix, and minor tan colored Siderite on the underside. If you look closely, you can see the crystals have eye-catching stepped "teeth"-like terminations! It's hard to isolate individual crystals, but I was able to find one on the side that measures 1.0 cm long. Very little damage, and very attractive up close. A cool Arsenopyrite for any fan of sulfides or minerals from Panasqueira.
