Native pure arsenic in its pure state is actually very rare in nature and this is a very attractive rolling plate of native arsenic showing several generations of layered growth. It was a one time find in 2013 of some of the best of species, for this style - not repeated since. For what it is, this is a sexy specimen! It has a sparkly top layer to it and no major cracking - which very few large pieces in the find can claim. From a large but highly unusual find of pure arsenic in this historic mine, found in summer of 2013. Although we have seen many specimens from this mine, including fine orpiment, I had not previously seen pure native arsenic. Moreover, this is of the quality to rival the old German specimens of native arsenic, which have traditionally sold for far higher prices. Valued $1000-plus.
