Item Description

This is a rare native element example of pure arsenic, in crystal form. Arsenic usually complexes with other elements to form many more complex minerals and native arsenic is very rare on Earth, particularly in crystals. The most desirable, historically, are these from finds of (I am told) the late 1800s or early 1900s at Akadani mine, Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture, Chubu Region, Honshu, Japan. A fine radial cluster of modified cubic crystals that is classic for this locality, which may very well be the world's foremost location for Arsenic crystals.This is rare, old, classic, material, seldom available.
