Item Description
Sharp, and very aesthetic, cluster of Argentite crystals after really well formed crystals of the silver species Stephanite. The largest crystal is about 1.2 cm and the replacement crystals of acanthite/argentite have retained the crystal edges and faces of the original stephanite, very nicely. A superb thumbnail, and much better in person. From the Bill and Sharon Panczner collection, this was part of an important thumbnail suite assembled mostly in the 1960s through the 1980s; and was shown in competition.
