Item Description
Arfvedsonite is an uncommon amphibole group species. Good US specimens are not that common on the market. Sharp, lustrous, striated and iridescent, jet-black crystals to 1.5 cm are aesthetically scattered on the sculptural and showy matrix of sharp, blocky, cream-colored, microcline crystals. This very fine combination specimen is from a classic New Hampshire locality - Hurricane Mountain. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection.
