Good US arfvedsonite specimens are not that common on the market. Arfvedsonite is an uncommon amphibole group species. Some of the finest US examples come from a classic New Hampshire locality - Hurricane Mountain. This is a very sharp, well-terminated, pristine, lustrous, striated jet-black crystal nicely accented with oxide-tinted rosettes of cleavelandite blades. This very fine combination specimen is from the Kay Robertson Collection # 7175. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). Classic material.
