Item Description
Hurricane Mountain has produced about the best US examples of this relatively uncommon amphibole species. This is a very fine, complete all-around and pristine, sharply terminated crystal. The jet-black crystal has fine luster and the bit of quartz embedded in the termination from contacting the roof of the vug is a nifty accent. An outstanding example of the species and classic locale. Collected by Bob Whitmore in 1971. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection # 403. Valued at $400.
