Item Description

Well-terminated, porcelaneous Aragonite (variety Tarnowitzite, AKA Plumboan Aragonite) crystals are quite uncommon from Touissit. These lustrous crystals, up to 2 cm, richly and attractively cover the matrix. Good crystals of Tarnowitzite are known from under 10 localities worldwide (including Tsumeb). This specimen from Morocco is unusually aesthetic for the species, with sharp, glistening crystals jutting up from the matrix. Originally priced at $350. More rare than its Tsumeb relative!
