Item Description
Bizarre and dramatically beautiful large old-time 360-degree specimen of helictitic cave aragonite called Flos Ferri. The striking snow-white specimen is from the famous and ancient very large siderite iron mine, Styrian Erzberg, where the aragonite of this varietal was first reported. The amazing and dense stalactitic aragonite has a coral-like look. Classic and outstanding old-time material, as it comes with a late 1800s to early 1900s label from a Vienna collector (the Metzger family) so this LITERALLY is an old classic as you see in old textbooks and mineralogy books on European minerals!
