Aragonite specimens are RARE from famed Mina Ojuela and this is a surreal multi-generational cave example. Each of the rims of the dramatic stacked layers of drusy aragonite have fantastic nubby spherical aggregates of second generation aragonite crystals. The piece was attached to the wall of the cave. The fascinating top view reveals the growth of two generations of aragonite. Ex Rob Kaar Collection, a San Francisco collector and Geology and Paleontology teacher at the City College of San Francisco (he passed away in 2003) and the Art Soregaroli Collection. A very exotic, perhaps unique, cave aragonite from Mina Ojuela.
