Item Description

RARE and striking aragonite from this less well-known Tongren area mine, famous for world-class cinnabar specimens. This amazing piece is a 360-degree pincushion of sprays of impressive elongated aragonite crystals, nicely accented with a light oxide tint. The spearpoints reach about 3.0 cm on this fascinating piece. Very nearly pristine, for all the crystal density, with only a few hard-to-see broken spears in the interior.
