Item Description
An aesthetic display specimen of these fairly well-known, yet relatively hard-to-find examples of Aragonite pseudomorphing Glauberite from Camp Verde, Arizona. This show small cabinet sized piece featuring an excellent, remarkably distinct, sharp, well-formed, thin "wedge"-shaped crystal with a medium golden color, flaring off matrix. The crystal is doubly-terminated pseudomorph with a few additional crystals flaring out of the center. The original habit of the tabular Glauberite crystals is completely preserved now by the Aragonite. The crystal at the top of the piece measures 4.7 cm long. This is a rarely seen matrix specimen of this elusive material, and very good quality.
Ex Les Presmyk / De Natura specimen.
