Item Description
One of the top CABINET examples of the aragonites from this one-time find we bought out a couple of years ago - not only beautiful, but an important new find of aragonite from anywhere, much less America. They have a unique look, with tiny crystals growing like teeth on an earlier generation of sharp, larger crystals. This is not only a large specimen, but the crystals really stick up off the matrix in bold relief, in a series of interconnected starbursts of crystals framed by the sculptural, contrasting iron-rich matrix. If you do not have one of these, this one of the best we had, that we held back to offer later! Amazingly, there are very, very few broken crystals for the size and such rich coverage! In 2008, we were able to buy the remaining pieces from this single pocket from the original miner, so we have all there is of it! we sold this some time ago and got it back again recently
