Item Description
Delightful miniature from Moonen Bay on the Isle of Skye. The hexagonal barrels of Aragonite are well-terminated, mostly gemmy, and they have a satiny luster that gives the crystals body and form. Attractively tapered, the Aragonites display a soft fluorescence that feels like moonglow. The largest Aragonite is 1.2 cm, and many of them have a sparkly coating of lustrous, micro blades of Stilbite. Recently deaccessed from the Tim Sherburn collection.
