Item Description
This locality is known for its unique pseudomorphs of Copper after Aragonite, but this INCREDIBLY large (for the locality) "floater" specimen features a NON-pseudomorphed "disco ball-shaped" crystal group of sharp white/beige pseudo-hexagonal Aragonite. Some of the crystals show slight hoppering, giving the piece a bit more depth. Personally, I have seen only a handful of these "disco ball" pieces from Coroco, but this is one of the larger pieces that I know of from the locality. They are MUCH rarer than the pseudomorphs of Copper after Aragonite in my experience. This specimen is a very fine example of this material, and really impressive for Corocoro. If you're a Bolivian collector, or an oddities collector, don't miss out on this one, because it's one of the few I have to offer.
