Intergrown spiky clusters of stalactitic aragonite dramatically highlight this impressive, large sculptural 360-degree well-prepared aragonite specimen from new finds at this well-known zinc mine. The stalactites reach 4.2 cm long. The rolling matrix of sugary, sparkly, gorgeous, rich sky-blue, translucent aragonite adds much character. The intense blue color is due to trace amounts of Copper. The Wenshan Mine produces outstanding aragonite and hemimorphite specimens. The noted periphery wear is certainly acceptable in extracting this striking and artistic large 3-dimensional plate. An excellent and showy piece from a 2023 find with beautiful blue color and fine form.
