Aragonite (Copper-bearing)

Item Description

A classic Aragonite specimen from the famed Tsumeb Mine featuring thin prismatic crystals in radial "sprays", which range in color from a pale off-white hue to a light blue color in the centers (due to copper content), with a bit of attached matrix. When the specimen is backlit, you can see the aqua color of the Aragonite come through better, as the piece is translucent at least in areas. There are some minor secondary copper minerals on the matrix, including a bit of rich blue Azurite, along with what appears to be Duftite (green), and a lighter blue mineral (possibly Plancheite?).
