Item Description
A really fine quality display specimen of the famous and elusive Aragonites from Cleator Moor in Cumberland. This piece features sharp, lustrous, fine quality, well-formed, narrow, prismatic crystals of soft yellow color Aragonite in a gorgeous crystallized "spray" aesthetically sitting on matrix. The largest crystal measures 5.0 cm, but the fact that there is such a good quality big radial "spray" ON MATRIX is the most important aspect of the piece. Not all of the crystals are perfect, there are some broken ones to be sure, but I honesty haven't seen another piece from this locality with such a showy spray ON MATRIX like this one. Easily the piece is 100 years old, and if you collect English classics or even European classics, don't miss out on this one. This piece was priced at $3,000 in the inventory, and I'm giving everybody the chance to pick up a cool old time showy example of this hard to find material.
