Item Description

A classic example of the hard to find Aragonite specimens from Tie Siding in Wyoming. This material is possibly a mixture of Calcite and Aragonite, as I have seen a piece featured with the RRUFF project that is labeled as being Calcite, but the habit is indicative of cyclic twinned Aragonite, and is not hexagonal in habit per se. The piece is not a "single" crystal, but rather an intergrown group, which is uncommon in my experience. It's also larger than the majority of these pieces that I've encountered over the years. Wyoming minerals are not necessarily abundant on the market, so don't miss out on this full sized miniature of this attractive and obscure material.
