Item Description
Aragonite is chemically identical to Calcite, and the Spanish material is some of the most well-known among collectors. The species was named in 1797 for the type locality, Molina de Aragon, Spain. This particular piece is a beautiful multi-terminated group of sharp, lustrous, pseudohexagonal (they're actually orthorhombic) crystals with the distinctive purple hue that the Spanish pieces are best known for. Great condition overall, and rather lustrous on the surface of the prism faces compared to many I've seen from this area.
