Aragonite

Item Description

A classic specimen of wonderful sharp, prismatic, white translucent pseudo-hexagonal crystals measuring up to 3.7 cm long on matrix. The main crystal is in excellent condition, though some of the smaller crystals are contacted around the periphery. When viewed down the length of the crystals, one can see that they're somewhat skeletal / "hoppered" in habit. This ancient copper mining locality dates back over 1,000 years, and good specimens of Aragonite are seldom seen on the market. This piece would make a nice addition to a suite of European classics, or worldwide Aragonites.
