Aragonite

Iron oxide-tinted, very glassy, transparent to tranlucent hexagonal aragonite trillings form a sculptural, dense specimen from this locale that is well-known for excellent aragonite specimens. The two largest crystals, at 3.6 and 3.1 cm are doubly terminated. Trillings are the intergrowth of three orthorhombic crystals that twin at the center and form a hexagonal shaped crystal. The front is essentially pristine, with the bruising on the back being mostly out-of-sight. Showy and excellent material.
