Item Description

A classic of old Spanish mineral collecting, this is an unusually large specimen to be preserved. Normally we only get smaller pieces. Sculptural aggregates of hexagonal red-orange Aragonite crystals forming connected "Disco Balls" across this large cabinet piece. Surprisingly a few Aragonite crystals are clear with the majority of the flat terminated crystals tinted. There are over a dozen distinct spheres up to 3.3 cm in size. There are also 3 partially formed balls that show a cross section of the sphere formation with crystals radiating out from the center. The piece is in great condition and self stands. A 3-Dimensional aesthetic piece of old material from the Kurt Hefendehl collection.
