Item Description
Some of the best contemporary Aquamarine specimens are those from Erongo. Not only is the quality superb on many of these Aqua specimens, but the associations can make for some really stellar specimens. This piece features a few razor sharp, highly lustrous, gemmy, beautiful blue color Aquamarine crystasl aesthetically flaring out of unusual, somewhat lustrous, white Feldspar that has formed "casts" after an unknown mineral. The blocky form of the casts would sugguest something like Anhydrite or Glauberite, but I honestly can't remember seeing something like this from Erongo. The Aqua crystals are essentially damage free and are even associated with a bit of black Schorl on the back of the piece for a nice touch. A very good specimen for size, aesthetics and color contrast. Valued at $1250.
