Item Description

When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the last 20 years. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the Pakistani Himalayas, especially the pieces from around Shigar. This locality has produced some of the most exciting Aquamarine specimens in recent years. This piece features a very sharp, and well-formed, lustrous, prismatic crystal of Aquamarine with unknown inclusions of a mossy green appearance. A good quality gem crystal specimen from this most prestigious of Pakistani pegmatite localities. Good shape overall, only one Feldspar contact on the back of the piece. From the PERSONAL COLLECTION (not inventory) of Herb Obodda (#1830).
