Item Description
When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the modern age of mineral collecting. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the Paki Himalayas, especially the pieces from Nagar. This locality has produced some of the most exciting Aquamarine association specimens in recent years. This specimen features a fine, sharp, lustrous, very gemmy, light blue color prismatic crystal of Aquamarine sitting on / surrounded by silvery-golden metallic blades of Muscovite. The piece can be displayed from a few angles, but when you turn it over, you can see the BASE of hte Aquamarine crystal which is surrounded by white Feldspar. The luster on the Aquas is superb and there is virtually no damage to the piece overall. The coolest aspect of the piece is the "spiked" multi-terminated pinacoid on the Aquamarine. From the collection of John Arnaud. Valued at $1200.
