Aquamarine with Muscovite

The various pegmatite localities in the high mountains of Pakistan are world-famous for producing what are inarguably among the finest examples of Aquamarine in the world. The production over the last 30+ years has been quite impressive, and some of the pieces found within the last few years are among the best matrix Aquamarine specimens in the world. Most people associate Pakistani Aquas with the Shigar Valley, but nearby in Nagar, some really gorgeous pieces have been found for many years. This attractive and showy small cabinet piece features a predominant, stout, sharp, gemmy, soft blue color, hexagonal crystal of Aquamarine which is associated with additional smaller Aquas and beautiful bladed groups of silvery Muscovite. The main has a classic basal termination on the front, but the other end is actually re-crystallized ("re-healed"), so it's technically doubly-terminated. No major damage anywhere outside of the base of the piece, where it detached from the pocket wall. A good quality, showy display specimen of this classic material from Chumar Bakhoor.
