Item Description
A dramatic specimen: The large crystal, which could not be more stereotypically hexagonal if you carved it to scream of "beryl", is just over 3 inches across (8 cm). At 945 grams, this is a hefty specimen as well as a big crystal. It is pristine and complete all around, and just stunning for its simple geometries. From old dealer stock of the legendary dealer who opened up Pakistani mineral exploration, Herb Obodda. If we were to buy it in Pakistan today, this would easily cost I the $5000-10,000 range as the prices on large fat crystals of any kind of translucence have risen greatly the last ten years. Also, less large Nagar pieces of this classic habit are now being found, and most of us think the locality is wellpast its heyday of production. This specimen should easily command $7500-10,000 if out at a show. Comes with custom lucite display base. AS A BONUS, I notice now I had forgotten to mention the nice, sharp, 1 -inch octohedral green fluorite on the lower back edge - a nice bonus!
