Item Description
When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the last 20 years. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the Paki Himalayas, especially the pieces from around Shigar. This locality has produced some of the most exciting Aquamarine specimens in recent years. This piece features excellent, sharp, lustrous, GEM/gemmy, soft blue color, prismatic crystals of Aquamarine sitting atop a mound oflustrous, well-crystallized white Albite and minor Muscovite. The underside of the specimen shows that the Aquamarine crystals are in fact doubly-terminated, and actually show a rarely seen and highly desirable "cat's eye" effect when rotated in the light! The piece can be displayed from several angles. A very attractive display specimen with good aesthetics from this most prestigious of Pakistani pegmatite localities.
