Item Description
When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the last 20 years. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the Paki Himalayas, especially the pieces from around Shigar. This locality has produced some of the most exciting Aquamarine specimens in recent years. This piece features good, sharp, lustrous, GEM/gemmy, soft blue color, prismatic crystals "bursts" of Aquamarine sitting atop a mound white Albite. The Aquamarine crystals actually show a rarely seen and highly desirable "cat's eye" effect when rotated in the light! The piece can be displayed from a few angles. A very attractive little display specimen with good aesthetics from this most prestigious of Pakistani pegmatite localities.
