Aquamarine with Albite and Muscovite ex. Obodda Coll.

Gorgeous, completely GEMMY, light blue, water-clear Aquamarine from Shengus. The luster is absolutely superb all the way around, and the partially-etched form has fantastic eye appeal. The crystal is festooned with blades of Albite and hexagonal crystals of Muscovite. There are even fine needles included within the Aqua, perhaps schorl (a type of Tourmaline). The piece looks good in the pics, and it is considerably better in person. This is a choice, aesthetic Aquamarine miniature that stands out! From teh personal collection of Herb Obodda, the man who opened up this region to fine mineral collecting and dealing...and he kept back for decades a selection of fine specimens he had acquired on his travels. The photos do not convey it well, but trust us - this is special. It is gemmy, and perfect, and all of that...but there is something special about it hard to define, and it is really simply elegant.
