Item Description
The beautiful mineral specimens from Pingwu are some of the most unique and attractive pieces from any Chinese locality. I would say that some of the most distinctive specimens of Aquamarine come from this locality due to the unusual tabular habit of the crystals, which is not commonly seen in Beryl. This particular piece features a very sharp, rather lustrous, GEM QUALITY, pale blue color, unusually tabular hexagonal crystal of Aquamarine measuring 1.9 cm across associated with blocky crystals of snow white Albite sitting along with compressed, bladed, silvery Muscovite on matrix. The quality is very good all around, with only a tiny bit of roughness that I can see. A great display quality association specimen from this unique locality.
