Aquamarine (with a blue cap) on Albite

From the find in the fall of 2004. This thumbnail size specimen hosts a 1.2 cm, very attractive lustrous, sharp, very well formed, gemmy crystal of Aquamarine with a pale blue color in the prism and a darker blue termination - or "blue cap" - on the end. This is a great rarity to find different shades of blue in the same Aquamarine crystal, and to find it with a blue cap is just nuts. The quality of this crystal is very good and the fact that its sitting on Albite matrix, makes it all the more desirable in my mind.
