Aquamarine, Smoky Quartz, and Schorl

Impressive and dramatic, this classic Erongo combination is formidable for its overall size, color, and quality. There are three Aquas, and each is significant and partially gemmy. The thickest is 4 cm x 2.6 cm, the second thickest is 5.1 cm long and doubly-terminated, and smallest still a nice 2.6 cm in length. The Aquas have a nice blue color and an attractive silky luster. The terminations are complete and there is only one ding on any of them. The Aquas are intergrown with silky, well-formed Schorls, the two largest of which are over 3 cm across. There are also a few intergrown Smoky Quartz crystals. The longest is 3 cm and doubly-terminated. The entire specimen has a matrix of intergrown, almost granular, Smoky Quartz. Great aesthetics, and impressive.
