Aquamarine & Schorl on Orthoclase

Item Description

A beautiful Erongo Aqua cluster from new finds (not from the Charlie Key colleciton as other items in this auction, please note). ..This is a sharp specimen, very reminiscent in aesthetics of the cover piece on the MR Erongo issue of a few years ago. The Aquas have superb luster, and very intense color. The gemmy terminations are water clear, and beautiful. Several smaller crystals are broken off but the major crystals are all intact and well terminated: The two largest crystals are 4.3 cm and 3.9 cm, respectively. An excellent combination of beautiful Aquas, fine, euhedral Schorls, all perched on large etched Orthoclase crystals, makes for a unique contrast different than you get in aquas from other localities. This is from a single large pocket found in August of 2009
