Aquamarine, Schorl, and Feldspar

Engaging and eye-catching, this is classic Erongo. This cabinet-size piece combines Aquamarine, Schorl, and Feldspar. The three main Aquas have good color, excellent luster, and terminations with greater than average gemminess. All three are complete, as opposed to many of the lower Aquas that are missing their terminations. The largest Aqua is 3.2 cm tall, with the gemmy termination being nearly 1 cm. The Schorl has very good luster, as usual, and many of the Schorl crystals have one etched termination, which creates visual and mineralogical interest. The white Feldspars, which add nice contrast, are partially etched. The upper two-thirds of the specimen are the clear focus here, and it is excellent. The aesthetics of the three good Aquas rising above the black Schorls and white Feldspars is quite good. Very desirable.
