Item Description
A stunning, aesthetic, combination specimen from recent Erongo finds. Glassy, gemmy and lustrous, rich blue, aquamarine crystals are strikingly scattered and clustered on all sides of the mountain of lustrous, jet-black schorl crystals. The off-white feldspar is an outstanding accent. The largest aqua is 4.8 cm and is doubly terminated, as is the second largest crystal at 4.2 cm. The gemmy quality and rich blue color of these aquas are definitely above average for the locale. The large schorl at the crest is 2.6 cm. Complete all-around and really in good shape, overall: the large aquas have a super-trivial bit of termination edgewear; and a couple of broken/contacted smaller aquas are noted. These factors have very minimal impact on the overall quality. This is a visually impressive and sculptural combination piece from this noted locale with large doubly terminated aquas. Valued at $1500-1800, and well worth it. A major spiker for this auction.
