Aquamarine & Scheelite on Muscovite

Tabular aquamarine crystals and octahedral scheelite crystals on muscovite matrix have become a Chinese combination classic. This showy and aesthetic large plate is highlighted by the two, gemmy, transparent to translucent aquas, to 4.3 cm, and by the well-placed, glassy, translucent, honey-brown, scheelite octos to 2.9 cm. The aquas and primary scheelites are pristine. A couple of bruised scheelites lower on the piece are noted, but are certainly a modest detraction. Three sides and the base have been sawed to enhance the considerable display quality. Bright white fluorescence on the scheelites, as you would expect. Valued at $1000.
