Aquamarine (rare matrix specimen) (ex Rolando Gioia Collection)

Item Description

A rarely seen matrix specimen of Aquamarine on Feldspar from an undisclosed locality in Minas Gerais, Brazi. Sharp, very lustrous, rather gemmy, pale blue color prismatic crystals of Aquamarine measuring up to 2.3 cm sitting on cream colored Microcline matrix. The main crystal is undamaged, and several of the smaller crystals are in good shape as well. If you're familiar with Aqumarine from Brazil, you know how hard it is to find GEM quality crystals on matrix like this. Before specimens came out of Pakistan (and later Namibia), it was very difficult to find superb gemmy crystals like this on matrix from any world locality.
