Item Description

When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the last 20 years. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the Paki Himalayas, including the pieces from the famous Nagar region. This locality has produced some of the most exciting Aquamarine specimens in recent years. This piece several, sharp, glassy, gemmy (some have water clear terminations) soft blue color, hexagonal prismatic crystals of Aquamarine which are sitting atop semi-metallic silvery Muscovite. The largest Aquamarine measures 3.3 cm long. Some of the Aquas are included with thin black prismatic crystals of an unknown mineral - possibly Schorl or Rutile(?). A very attractive, good quality gem crystal display specimen from this famous Pakistani pegmatite locality. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock, valued at $2500.
