Item Description
A very fine, pristine rich blue textbook hexagonal aquamarine crystal from the famous Erongo Mountains Namibia. The 5.7 cm, lustrous, translucent to gemmy crystal is crowned by a beautiful, 9 mm, gemmy zone with tiny embedded muscovites in the termination as a nifty accent. The lower 4.9 cm of the glassy, lustrous translucent crystal has the typical crackly interior. The aqua is very adroitly attached to the side of a complementary blocky orthoclase crystal with one face nicely accented with muscovites and a 1.1 cm schorl crystal. The smaller aquas on the back of the orthoclase are an additional bonus. This is a classic, aesthetic and outstanding small cabinet example of this aquamarine style with accessories. Seldom can you find a GOOD one at auction as they sell too easily at shows in the old economy!
