Manganoan calcite specimens are EXTREMELY RARE from the Shigar Valley. This striking and aesthetic specimen may be UNIQUE, as the piece also hosts an aqumarine crystal! A stout, 4.7 x 3.4 x 2.6 cm, translucent, pastel-pink, nailhead rhomb with frosted stepped-growth faces is dramatically set on albite matrix. A pristine, 2.0 x 1.8 x 1.6 cm, hexagonal, light blue aqua with frosted faces is nicely set off to the side of this stunning and rare 3-sided combination. The one spot of edge wear to the calcite certainly has only minimal impact to the overall high quality of this extreme combination rarity from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Valued by Herb at $1500, more than 6 years ago and worth it. Bright fluorescence.
