Item Description

Aquamarines are RARE from this well-known California mountain range. Pretty rich sky-blue crystals and crystal sections are aesthetically set in the side of the massive gray quartz matrix. The impressive, large terminated crystal is 1.5 cm long and the crystals are moderately translucent. RARE aquamarine and quartz from the Kay Robertson Collection # 3607 and acquired in July, 1964. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). Very rare on the market today. A must for the locality or species collector.
