A shocking and aesthetic specimen of gem heliodor (yellow-green beryl) on aquamarine crystals! Amazing, and most unusual. The transition from the 9 mm, golden-amber termination through the 2 mm yellow zone to the greenish-blue body with typically crackly interior and frosted faces is razor sharp and remarkable on the large crystal. The transition is much sharper in real life than the pics. The heliodor termination is absolutely water-clear looking down the C-axis. A bit of termination edgewear is noted, but is a very modest detraction. The contacting on the back has very minimal actual damage. A fascinating miniature beryl of unusual nature from a small one-time find. Fairly valued at $750-800. Ex Charlie Key dealer stock.
