Aquamarine (GEMMY crystals) with Muscovite and Albite

There are many world-classic granitic pegmatite localities scattered over the high mountains of Pakistan. Several of these localities produce some of the finest examples of Aquamarine in the world, and almost certainly the finest matrix specimens. If you think about the production over the last 30+ years, it's truly impressive, and some of the finest pieces have only been found in the last few years. Most people associate Pakistani Aquas with the Shigar Valley, but nearby in Nagar, some really gorgeous pieces have been found for many years. This attractive and showy small cabinet sized piece features several, GEMMY, sharp, translucent, soft blue color, hexagonal crystals of Aquamarine which are associated with small white crystals of Albite and beautiful bladed groups of silvery Muscovite. No major damage anywhere outside of the base/back of the piece, where it detached from the pocket wall. The largest individual Aqua crystal measures 3.3 cm. A very good quality, showy display specimen of this classic material from Chumar Bakhoor. Priced in the inventory at $1,950.
