Item Description
The Pingwu Beryl Mine is a world-famous locality that has produced some of the finest examples of Scheelite, Cassiterite and Aquamarine ever found. This beautiful small cabinet display specimen features a predominant, 2.0 cm, sharp, lustrous, fine quality, gemmy, gorgeous pale blue color, tabular, hexagonal crystal of Aquamarine with additional smaller Aqua crystals and minor associated silvery blades of Muscovite mica on matrix. Arguably my favorite aspect of the main Aquamarine crystal is the beautiful modifying pyramidal faces on each side. While Aquamarine is not rare on a worldwide level, this particular tabular habit is incredibly hard to find in nature, as nearly all Aquas are elongated prisms and not thick, tabular "discs". This piece would make a nice addition to any suite of gem crystals, Chinese minerals or worldwide Beryls. Priced at $500 in the inventory.
