Aquamarine (GEM quality) on Albite

Item Description

A wonderful, GEMMY, soft blue colored, prismatic hexagonal crystal of Aquamarine on Albite from the famous locality at Shengus in the high mountains of Pakistan. The Aqua crystal has wonderful luster on the prism faces, along with the basal termination. If you look closely, you can see some tiny pyramidal modifications where the termination meets the prism. The crystal sits beautifully on a small amount of lustrous, blocky, soft silvery colored Albite crystals. As you can see, the Aqua crystal is notably gemmy inside, and would honestly yield some attractive gemstones. The piece is priced in the inventory at $4,500. This area has produced some of the most iconic Aquamarine crystals in the world in terms of supreme gemminess and excellent crystal form, and this piece is a great example of said material.
