When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the modern age of mineral collecting. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the Pakistani Himalayas. This area has produced some of the most exciting Aquamarine specimens in recent years. This specimen features a pair of fine, very sharp sharp, highly lustrous, GEM quality soft blue color prismatic crystals of Aquamarine aesthetically flarling off cream colored Albite matrix. BOTH of the Aquamarine crystals are WATER CLEAR and look beautiful when held and rotated in the hand. The largest Aqua measures 2.6 cm long. I love the fact that the Aquas compliment each other with their notably different habits, as one of them has a pronounced basal pinacoid with only tiny first and second order pyramidal modifications, while the other crystal has much larger pyramidal faces on the termination. The prism faces of both crystals have gentle and alluring etching patterns, creating a unique appearance on the surface. I can only seen a tiny imperfection on the back of the "basal" crystal, otherwise the piece is damage free! An incredibly attractive display specimen with tremendous gem clarity and oustanding aesthetics from this famous gem crystal producing nation.
